In The Things To Buy When I’m Crazy Rich Category:

The Last Stingray. Now, to become crazy rich.

Only In The Netherlands

Or maybe Germany or Belgium. Anyway, I present this for your consideration.

Also, after several long weeks, a new Studio 60 airs tonight, which I’ve been muchly looking forward to. And conveniently, Bravo had a Studio 60 marathon yesterday (though I only caught the last few episodes), so I’ll be watching tonight’s show with a fresh knowledge of what had been happening.

Vroom!

Back when I was getting a ton of car magazines, an ad for Skip Barber Driving School caught my eye. Recently, when trying to come up with ways to spend more vacation time before the end of the year, I suddenly remembered Skip Barber. Back when I first heard about them, they were supplied by Dodge, and you could drive anything from a Neon R/T to a Dodge Viper (it looks like they’ve got a wider variety these days, but sadly no Viper, for Viper aficionados out there).

I started to wonder if there was a racing/driving school out there that was supplied by Chevrolet. A quick Google search turned up Bondurant Racing School. Unlike the Skip Barber School, which has locations all around the country (aka places within driving distance) Bondurant is only in Phoenix. On the other hand, Corvette!

I haven’t decided when or even if I’m going to do this (the courses themselves are expensive, to say nothing of other trip expenses), but it would be so cool to do.

Hey!

I have that cookbook, thank you very much. Granted, I’ve never made anything from it, but I got it as a gift and was quite appreciative of it. Hmmm, I think we might’ve have the cake decorating kit (see list) when I was growing up, too.

Justin’s Next Phone?

I think once my Razr retires, this phone is a leading candidate for my next phone. Hopefully I won’t break down and retire the Razr early. :-)

Amusing Video

It’s forty minutes long, but this video is well worth it if you’re a fan of old-school console RPGs.

Out With the Old, In With the New

It was a weekend for parties. We had our yearly Christmas Party on Saturday, filled with games and Secret Santas. Quite a lot of fun, and got to try out some new games. I got a very nice Corvette book, a Corvette calendar, some DVDs, and more Sin City books. Sweet.

The next day was, of course, New Year’s Eve, and some of us packed ourselves into Jeff’s apartment to ring in the new year. We also played games (how could we not?), one of which was the semi-traditional drinking game. This year’s version was drinking to the movie Clue. Basically, everyone chose a suspect/weapon/room combo and took a drink whenever one of the three was mentioned. Not a game for the faint of heart, or the intolerant of alcohol.

On New Year’s Day itself, we hung out, watched a movie, played some games, and dreaded returning to work the next day. Except for Jeff, who went into work on New Year’s. All in all, a good time.
